When we started advertising online for one of our clients, we realised that most of our advertisements are not getting enough engagement.
That’s when we learned after a few tweaks that creating a unique proposition is important to make your ads resonate to your audience.
To give you an example of this, you can easily spot advertisements that are really successful just by looking at their headlines and their captions.
So why is this important? If you base it in human psychology, most human beings will only think about themselves.
Give them what they want and you will get what you want in return.
Show them the benefits of your offer to your target audience and you will quickly gain an audience that will be attracted to your ads.
The biggest brands are doing this. Just observe the ads around you.
Most of the time these ads will directly target your emotions in order for you to interact with them.
Does Not Arouse Curiosity
A few months ago, we observed tons of ads on Facebook that are actually giving value but still they’re not getting any engagement. Why is this happening? Well, another important characteristic of a well thought out ad is curiosity.
Imagine an ad where you can already see everything that’s inside just by looking at the ad. You won’t click on the ad anymore since you already know what you’re going to get.
People love surprises, they always love to see what’s on the other side of the door.

Advertising is basically part of marketing. And a successful Marketing concept needs to be beautifully done. That is why we need to have a nice design when creating your advertising material.
I can still remember when FB Advertising started out, a lot of people copied images for their ads. They simply went to google copied images, and used it for their advertising.
And you know what the end result is? Most of the ads back then didn’t become successful. A lot of ads were flagged as spam because they were simply copied from all over the web.
If you simply see the ad above, you will observe that the ad was custom made for their brand. This makes the ad unique which helps you get more engagement for your brand.
There are actually tons of ways to create their custom image. But the easiest way to do it is to basically hire someone to design their ads.
Not Adding Stories To Your Caption
We’ve discovered how important stories are. When we’ve joined an elite group of marketers online and these people are making 5-7 figures online. And one of the most important things they are reiterating is story telling.
So why is story telling important? Basically story telling increases oxytocyn on your brain. What it does is that the person listening to the story gets a feeling of Love and satisfaction.
This is the reason why your readers will have a special bond with your brand. If you look at the post above, you will see that we incorporated a short story in the caption.
It was only weeks ago when we started doing this. And the results are amazing. This ad got tons of comments increase and reach just by making a small tweak on our post.
I urge you to start recognizing the importance of stories and I promise you that you will see the difference after a short period of time.
Targeting The Wrong Audience
Up until now we can still see brands on FB that are targeting a broad amount of audience. This is actually hurting your sales and your conversion.
Let me give you an example:
Let’s just say that you are an interior designer, and you love interior design ideas. Then suddenly a Nike ad showed up on your feed. Would you click on the ad? You won’t right?
This is the very reason why targeting is really important. If you have the right target market and the right Audience FB would actually help you find them.
This gives you an advantage to actually connect with your potential customers. Most of the brands take this for granted. But this is the very reason why one of our clients made a 100% ROI from their advertising.
This is the true measure of an ad’s success. Making back the money you shelled out in advertising should always be your main goal. And you can only do this if you put out laser targeted ads.
Your Ad is Stale Or Running For So Long
You have a very successful ad so your first instinct is to let the ad run continuosly. Yes that is right!
But you also have to consider the fact that ads can also go stale. When we were running one of our clients ad for Mainline, we’ve been getting A lot of clicks for a small amount of budget.
So as time goes by our ad slowly became more expensive. This is when we discovered that online audience also experience ad blindness.
This means that a successful campaign should have a lot of ad variations. So how do you do this? The easiest way is to change the image of the ad once in a while.
Another trick is to change the caption of your ad. By doing this you can trick the mind of the consumer by giving them different media variations for them to experience. Try this out and increase your conversions by a lot!
Facebook advertising is very effective, I always believe that most people fail in using this platform because they either quit right away or they don’t change their techniques.
